Bremec Of Concord Store Manager
Concord Location
Bremec Garden Centers is seeking a Garden Center Manager who is knowledgeable with plants and capable of leading the Bremec of Concord Garden Center. Employees will be expected to handle daily management responsibilities. Managers typically perform a variety of operational tasks essential for the garden center’s success. Managers will also direct other Bremec team members towards accomplishing daily goals while maintaining the high standards our customers are accustomed to with our brand. Bremec provides high-quality, value-oriented plants, products, and services. Our impeccable attention to detail and customer service sets us apart as a premier garden center.
Garden Retail Associate
Chesterland, Cleveland Heights, Concord & Highland Heights Locations
We are hiring reliable, friendly and energetic candidates with basic plant knowledge to serve customers and care for plants in the Garden Center. Daily responsibilities include cooperating with Bremec staff to provide prompt customer service, communicating clearly and respectfully with customers, using Point-of-Sale computer software and telephones, completing paperwork and basic plant care tasks. Working knowledge of common annuals and perennials, or gardening experience is a plus.
Positions are part-time seasonal, with evening, weekday and weekend hours available. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and able to perform light labor (lift up to 40 lbs.) in an active work environment. The start date is weather-dependent in March or April. Pond & Pottery Associate
Chesterland Location
The Pond Shop at Bremec Garden Center in Chesterland is seeking an outgoing, organized and success-driven candidate to provide prompt and professional customer service. The Pond & Pottery Salesperson will work as part of a team to serve customers and maintain an organized Pond, Stone & Pottery department. Daily responsibilities include serving customers, caring for Pond & Pottery display areas, cash register use and answering Pond Shop phone calls. Previous experience in customer service, sales and/or pond maintenance is a plus.
This position is full-time seasonal with some evening and weekend hours. There is the potential for work in the winter hours, as well. The hourly wage is based on experience. Nursery Assistant
Chesterland, Cleveland Heights, Concord & Highland Heights Locations
With over 27 acres of trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, pottery and stone, Bremec Garden Center is a treasure trove of gardening materials. Bremec is seeking experienced Nursery Assistants to serve customers with tree and shrub purchases. This position uses knowledge of tree and shrub identification, growth habit and common pest identification to work with customers and answer questions. Daily responsibilities include customer service, stocking and care of trees and shrubs, completing required paperwork for tree purchases/deliveries and answering customer phone calls. Tree and shrub knowledge is required. Previous experience in a nursery or greenhouse environment is a plus.
This position is part-time to full-time seasonal and the hourly wage is based on experience. The Nursery Assistant must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly, work outdoors in a fast paced environment and must have good interpersonal skills.
Delivery Driver
Concord, Cleveland Heights & Highland Heights Locations
Bremec of Concord is seeking a qualified and reliable Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver represents Bremec in the community as well as at the Garden Center; professionalism and customer service are essential. The Delivery Driver works as part of a team to complete company deliveries of trees, shrubs, bulk goods and other products. Candidates for this position must relate well to others, be reliable and punctual.
Positions are part-time seasonal with evening, weekday and weekend hours available. Candidates must be at least 25 years old with a clean driving record, and be able to lift 50 lbs or more repeatedly in an active work environment. Experience driving box trucks or dump trucks and operating fork lifts or similar machinery is a plus.
Landscape/Hardscape Foreman (The Bremec Group)
The Bremec Group is an established and leading full-service landscape design/build firm. Since 1982, the skilled and experienced craftsmen of The Bremec Group have created high quality landscapes throughout northeast Ohio.
The Bremec Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape/Hardscape Foreman. The Landscape/Hardscape Foreman manages a team to install landscape elements such as patios, walls, outcroppings and landscape lighting. This position also coordinates landscape enhancement tasks including planting, seeding, mulching and pruning.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience in the industry, ability to operate heavy equipment (skid steer, excavator, truck and trailer, tamper, etc.) and highly-developed leadership skills. The Landscape/Hardscape Foreman must have the ability and confidence to motivate employees while initiating project tasks and meeting deadlines. The Bremec Group is seeking a self-motivated, energetic and high performing individual who takes initiative with excellent attention to detail. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. The compensation package is based on experience and includes a signing bonus, paid holidays, vacation time, health insurance and 401k profit sharing.
